Bauer Media Group

       Q Magazine is published by Bauer Media Company; they publish over 300 magazines and have online access as well as TV shows and radio stations. Bauer Media joined the company in January 2008 and became part of the Bauer Media Group. They are a multi-platform, UK based group that divide into 2 main divisions; magazine and radio. Over 217 million copies of magazines published by Bauer are published each year from approximately 53 different magazines. The Magazine heritage stretches back to 1953; the launch of Angling Times and Motor Cycle News [1956] began an iconic brand within the Bauer portfolio. In 1990, the launch of Kiss FM Radio planted the seeds for the radio division within the company. They began publishing the first For Him Magazine which is now internationally used and read by men, and women, it is known now a FHM. Bauer also have a seven joint TV business partnership with Channel 4 after purchasing a small route into the business in 1996. Bauer Media is a sister of the publishing company H Bauer Publishing, the UK's leading and largest publishing company for TV listings. The company also have smaller divisions that include TV, digital and advertisement. As well as Q Magazine, Bauer Media publish well known magazines such as Zoo, Mojo, Heat, Grazia and Closer. They distribute and publish radio stations and music channels such as Magic, The Box, 4Music, Absolute 80s, Kerrang, Kiss and SmashHits.
